A yoga mat, a clear space big enough for your mat, yoga strap or equivalent (ie. tie or rope), yoga blocks or equivalent (ie. a book or sturdy pillow), comfortable clothing that you can stretch in, yoga blanket is optional.
Incorporates simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. No experience or flexibility required.
While this class is taught for all levels, it does help if you have some knowledge of yoga poses and some level of fitness. We will flow through an invigorating class that will focus on postures that utilize the core muscles. You will work up a sweat!
This class is all about opening the body. We use bolsters and props to support our bodies and ensure we are completely comfortable. Once comfortable, we hold the pose for several minutes allowing the body to let go. Great focus is placed on the breath. The challenge is in the focus. This is a great practice to help alleviate stress and improve your ability to remain present.
